Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin, the Republic of Ireland, on the 11th of November 1966. She is a model and an Irish actor. She made her film debut with a tiny part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to portray the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan was in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody started modeling after being approached by a professional photographer. It led to an impressive professional career as a model for commercials. Doody did not like glamour or nude modeling, which that she incorporated into her acting. When she was dragged into the sights of the director who cast a new James Bond film she accepted a small part as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was selected as one of the 12 most promising actors of the year in 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Only 18 years old when she appeared in the character Doody was and is - the youngest Bond girl that has ever appeared. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a film from the beginning where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody was Archibald Craven's wife Lilias, in his dream in the 1987 adaptation of The Secret Garden. Her first lead role was in an episode from 1988 of the Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller in the role of Sapsorrow opposite John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. The first time she appeared was in the movie Taffin with Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist and Nazi-sympathizer opposite Harrison Ford. Doody appeared alongside Sean Connery in the film in the role of Indy's father. Doody costarred with Jonathan Pryce, in the British mini-series Selling Hitler. The series was inspired by the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Then, she moved to Hollywood. The choice was made to replace Cybill Shepherd as spokeswoman for L'Oreal she was later chosen to play opposite Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II as Flannery his girlfriend and agent. After a long absence from the stage Doody was back in the acting world and acted in a tiny role in 2003 British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine acting as herself in an awards ceremony scene. She starred along together with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation to King Solomon's Mines. Doody made an appearance as a character in Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Later, she appeared as a guest in RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to be the lead actress in a remake of the horror film The Asphyx but the project later stalled. She began her first two seasons on Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. In 2014, she appeared as Pam Jefferson in We Still Kill the Old Way. The 21st of November, 2018, she received the Almeria the tierra de cine prize and she received an award in the Almeria Walk of Fame.
