Marcia Harvey is an African-American writer, best known for her ex-wifeship with comedy legend and TV host Steve Harvey. She decided to keep her private life private and away from the media. Steve has not been able to attain the fame and fortune he's currently enjoying, however they had been married for 14 years. The reasons behind the couple's breakup weren't revealed and rumors were always heard throughout Hollywood. Some blame Steve Harvey's cheating and others blame him for deciding to pursue comedy as his field of work. The tragedy of her story can be traced to reality that Steve had to leave her and two daughters, while she was pregnant with their third child. Despite all the challenges she was able to create an impressive career as a fashion writer and stylist. The details of Marcia Harvey's life before her death, aside from the fact that she was born to an African-American family and they were not very rich. She began her career working at Saks Fifth Avenue, a department store. Steve was introduced to her at a friend's wedding reception. They were very close and married in 1980. The couple had twin girls in 1982, while Steve was an insurance salesperson. Steve was already disillusioned by his work and decided to be an entertainer, especially stand-up comedy. He and Marcia did not get together, and reports indicated that they'd been living apart since the year 1990.
