Aisha jamila Hinds was born in the United States and is well-known for her part in The Shield. Since her debut she has demonstrated her ability to perform on shows like Under the Dome, 9-1-1 Detroit and 1-8-7. She was first noticed in 2005 when she played her role as Anna, as seen on Assault on Precinct 13 However, it was her performance of women's liberation activist Fannie Louis Hamer from the biopic All the Way, which gave her the respect she deserved as an actress.
